Reuben Kaplan, 85, of St. Paul, and formerly of Northfield, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, surrounded by family.

Reuben was born in Northfield in 1924. He was a Northfield businessman and the former owner of H.S. Kaplan Scrap Recyclers of St. Paul.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Temple of Aaron Synagogue, St. Paul.

Memorials may be made to the Reuben and Esther Kaplan Music Fund at Talmud Torah of St. Paul or the donor’s favorite charity.
