| A former Northfield superintendent is among the semifinalists for St. Paul Public Schools’ top job. Stan Mack, who led Northfield schools for three years in the late 80s is among the final six vying to head capital city’s public schools. Mack, who left Northfield in the fall of 1988, went to the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage district as an assistant manager of human resources and planning. He later worked at the Osseo district before moving to Robbinsdale where he was superintendent for nine years. He retired from Robbinsdale at the end of the 2008-09 school year, saying it was time to move on to other challenges. Semifinalist interviews are set for Nov. 13 and 14. From that group, finalists will be selected and re-interviewed next week. — Suzanne Rook |
