NORTHFIELD — The Roaring ’20s-themed annual Auction Gala and Speakeasy, in support of the Historical Society, takes place Nov. 21 at the Northfield Golf and Country Club.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Roaring ’20s attire is encouraged and there will be a costume contest. Early comers receive one of a limited number of feather boas, beaded necklaces, headbands with feather or fedora hats.
The event includes many items up for bid on both the silent and live auctions, including a ghost tour of St. Olaf College, a Pub Crawl with Archer House owner Brett Reese, an original Wendell Arneson painting, or a gourmet dinner for eight at the Archibald Inn in Dundas, a private tour for 12 of the Northfield Historical Society complete with wine and appetizers, several gift baskets, and much more. Sealed bids for the Arneson painting will be accepted until 4 p.m. Friday at the Northfield Historical Society.
This is the Northfield Historical Society’s only fundraiser. All funds raised go to continue its mission of preserving and interpreting Northfield’s unique history.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the door or at the Northfield Historical Society. |
