A Northfield man pleaded guilty in federal court this week to distributing child pornography.
Ernst O. Luposchainsky III, 55, was arrested in September after he allegedly e-mailed illegal photos to federal investigators.
On Wednesday morning, he pleaded guilty to one of four felony counts levied against him by a federal grand jury, according to court records.
Federal agents raided Luposchainsky’s Northfield home in July 2008 after they found what appeared to be images of nude, prepubescent girls hosted on his Web site about a month earlier. According to a search warrant, Luposchainsky sent similar photos to an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent who had e-mailed him posing as a fan.
A grand jury in August indicted Luposchainsky on four counts of distributing child pornography, each punishable by a minimum of 15 years in prison to a maximum of 40. He was arrested on Sept. 1 and transferred to California. As of Thursday, he was still in federal custody.

U.S. District Judge Dana M. Sabraw set sentencing for March 19. Luposchainsky’s attorney, Stephen P. White of San Diego, declined to discuss the case Wednesday afternoon.
Details of a plea agreement were not immediately available. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alessandra P. Serrano was not available for comment Wednesday.
