Crashes

Friday, July 11 — One person was injured after a one vehicle accident at 10:42 a.m. at the intersection of Dennison Boulevard and Kane Avenue in Northfield Township. The vehicle, driven by Michael Allen Juhl, 55, of Northfield, was eastbound on Dennison Boulevard when a dog ran into right side of the vehicle and the driver swerved, landing the vehicle in the right side of the ditch. He received injuries but did not go to the hospital.

Sunday, July 13 — No one was injured after a one vehicle accident at 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 19 and County Road 54 in Wheatland Township. The vehicle, driven by Roger Gordon DuFour III, 17, of Northfield, struck the rear end of a horse.



Medical

Friday, July 4 — One person died after an accident at Hoy’s Resort, located at 170th Street and Elmore Trail in Wells Township. Randy Dean Ronquist, 41, fell off of a golf cart and received severe head injuries and was unresponsive. Rescue paramedics and deputies tried to revive the victim but were unsuccessful. Ronquist was pronounced dead at 11:41 p.m. The driver of the cart was arrested but not formally charged.

Friday, July 11 — One person was injured after a farm accident at 4:47 p.m. in the 10000 block of West 70th Street, Lonsdale. A 14-year-old male was riding on top of a New Holland round baler when he slipped and his right arm was entangled in the large belts of the baler. The victim was flown by helicopter to Hennepin County Medical Center. The driver of the tractor was unaware that the boy was on the baler at time of injury.
